Virginia CCL holders: After July 1, 2026, your CCL does NOT exempt you from Virginia's new assault firearms carry restriction (SB 727). Even in states that honor your VA permit, carry regulations within that state apply.

Tip: Many gun owners carry permits from multiple states (e.g. Utah non-resident + their home state) to maximize reciprocity. Check which additional permits are accepted by your frequent travel states.
